Music

Background and Experience

My musical experience spans a wide range of instruments, ensembles, performances, and leadership roles, beginning in early childhood and continuing through middle school, high school, and beyond. These experiences form the basis of my teaching philosophy and the approach I bring to every lesson. The sections below outline the training and performance background that shape my work with students today.

Performance Videos

These videos highlight important moments from my own musical journey. I have selected a few performances to feature directly on this page, including middle school jazz solos to high school marching band and choir. These pieces represent meaningful parts of my development as a young musician and show the range of styles and settings I experienced while growing up.

Musical Training and Skills Developed

Throughout my years in band and choir, I was fortunate to learn under exceptional directors, guest clinicians, and professional musicians who pushed us far beyond the basics. Our programs were highly advanced, and the training I received shaped the way I teach today. Alongside healthy posture, breath support, and proper instrument technique, I studied deeper musicianship skills such as:

Music Lessons

I offer private music and performing arts lessons in voice, piano, clarinet, percussion, recorder, ukulele, and acting. Lessons are tailored to each student's interests, experience, and learning pace, with an emphasis on building skills, confidence, and creativity. Students who demonstrate an interest or aptitude for performing may also have the opportunity to participate in seasonal concerts alongside myself and fellow students, all of whom study under my instruction. Interested in learning an instrument I play that isn't listed among my current offerings? I'm happy to discuss individual arrangements based on the instrument and student's interests.
